Australia International Cultural Council Grants Program
Funding for international arts and cultural projects
The Australia International Cultural Council (AICC) Grants Program provides funding for international arts and cultural projects that align with the objectives of the AICC. The AICC Grants Program focuses on the AICC priority regions, which reflect Australia's broad public diplomacy and foreign and trade policy interests. Applications should be for cultural diplomacy projects incorporating activities in priority regions.
AICC Grants Program – Expressions of Interest for Round 6
The AICC Grants Program recently closed for the submission of Expressions of Interest for Round 6. There was an increase of more than 50 per cent in the number of submissions received this funding round, as compared with applications received for Round 5. Timeframes for the assessment process will be extended to manage this increase in submissions.
Introducing a two stage application process
The sixth funding round of the AICC Grants Program is trialling a new process for grant applications, which involves a two stage online application process. The first stage will invite Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from individuals, groups and organisations interested in applying for an AICC grant. A selection committee will shortlist EOIs and invite a limited number of applicants to complete a formal grant application form. It should be noted that applicants who submit a suitable EOI are not automatically guaranteed a grant.
In Round 6, favourable consideration will be given to applications that propose projects in India and the Republic of Korea. Program guidelines and a sample funding agreement can be found below for information.
We welcome feedback on the new EOI process to the AICC Secretariat at aicc@dfat.gov.au.
