The 2012/13 AMI grant round is open from 30 April to 28 May 2012.
The Australia-Malaysia Institute (AMI) provides financial support to selected projects which aim to promote and enhance bilateral links between Australia and Malaysia.
Applications are now being invited for funding in the 2012-13 financial year, for projects commencing between July 2012 and June 2013.
Funding is awarded through a competitive selection process. Applications should further the mission and goals of the AMI and have an identified Australia or Malaysian partner. Applicants should consider the following AMI priority areas:
- Public policy
- Education including vocational education training
- Media and alumni
- Sports
- Environment, science and technology
- Trade and industry linkages
- Arts and culture
- Women and girls
Applications will be considered by the AMI Advisory Board at its next meeting. Notification of the Board's decisions will be advised to applicants in July.
Completed applications must be submitted by midnight (AEST) Monday 28 May 2012.
The Australia-Malaysia Institute (AMI) grants are intended to provide seed funding for innovative proposals relevant to the aims and objectives of the Institute. This includes proposals which demonstrate the potential for the development of long-term links between individuals and institutions in Australia and their counterparts in Malaysia.
As applications are assessed against the AMI Grant Program Guidelines, all applicants should familiarise themselves with the guidelines before submitting an application for funding.
All applicants must complete the Online Application form in full and provide all mandatory requested documentation. Applications must be completed in English. Applications that do not meet these minimum requirements will be deemed ineligible.
If your application cannot be submitted using the Online Application form, please contact the AMI Secretariat.
