NAIDOC Week

NAIDOC Week 2011

The Department celebrated NAIDOC Week in 2011 with the launch of the exhibition, Message Stick: Indigenous Identity in Urban Australia, by Foreign Minister Mr Rudd. The majority of the Diplomatic Corp, the Department’s Indigenous Employees Network and Departmental employees attended the reception.

DFAT also celebrated NAIDOC Week throughout Australia's overseas network of Embassies, High Commissions and Consulates. Activities showcased Indigenous visual arts, music and performance and provided information on the message behind NAIDOC Week and Indigenous political developments in Australia.
